RFO’s vision statement, Education Through Imagination, is very close to their heart.  We want to educate the young and old on how people of the past lived, the political issues of the day, and at the same time make it an enjoyable experience.

Guest Author - Brooke Johnson

Get to know one of the authors that will be here for Create-it Con July 11th. Brooke Johnson is one of the authors participating in the author panel.

She is a tea-loving writer of steampunk and fantasy.

She has a few published works, such as the first books in a young adult steampunk series, The Brass Giant and The Mechanical Theater, published through Harper Voyager Impulse, and on Wattpad, a middle-grade fantasy titled Dark Lord in Training. She’s also working on other things, including a grimdark historical assassin tale currently titled The Court of the Viper Queen, and a Persianesque fantasy titled The Wizard’s Heart.

Brooke is a stay-at-home mom, amateur seamstress, RPG enthusiast, and art hobbyist, in addition to all that book writing. As the jack-of-all-trades bard of the family, she adventures through life with her fiercely-bearded paladin of a husband, their daughter the sticky-fingered rogue, and their cowardly wizard of a dog, with only a sleep spell in his spellbook.

They currently reside in Northwest Arkansas, but once they earn enough loot and experience, they'll build a proper castle somewhere and defend against all manner of dragons and goblins, and whatever else dares take them on.
